Hi! I’m Melissa! I’m originally from south Mississippi, but we made our way to Springfield in February of 2020 (after stopping in northwest Arkansas for about 5 years along the way).
Our first daughter, Maisy, died tragically in childcare in 2017. When I quit teaching, I had very little idea of how we would make it - I just knew that we couldn’t put our second daughter, Evie, in daycare. Little did I know that my time at home would evolve into running a handful of small businesses. Here I am! I am so thankful for the much-needed flexibility this gives our family. I can’t wait to serve you in this space.
As a hobbyist turned small business owner, I understand that places like this can be intimidating for those of us without a lot of studio experience. It’s my hope that every person who walks into the studio will feel welcome, supported, and comfortable enough to have fun.
Wade Hummer

I have a bachelor’s degree in horticulture and a master’s degree in agriculture. I love plants, hiking, and spending time with my family. What brought me into the photography studio? My always-has-a-new-idea wife!
This endeavor has given our family a wonderful opportunity to spend more time together and focus on what matters. After losing our first child, I understand how important that really is. I can’t say I’m an expert in this field, but I’m happy to help wherever I can - from moving props to helping you hang a backdrop. Just say the word! Thanks for visiting us!
Evie Mae Hummer
5-Year-Old Assistant
She may be little, but she’s got enough personality for at least one full-grown adult. Evie Mae doesn’t make a habit of hanging around in the studio too often, but she helps her mom by serving as a test subject and model. And she’s pretty much the whole reason this business exists, so she deserves a bio. Evie loves crafting, superheroes, gymnastics, and dance.
